With its own facility, the company enters the market as a pioneer in fire extinguisher accessories — launching zamak injection-moulded terminals and PVC hoses for every extinguisher line. An unprecedented idea that competitors went on to copy.

All of Brazil becomes a customer
Working only with premium, first-quality raw material, Acepex wins over the country’s leading manufacturers and inspection companies — the very ones that demand products compliant with ABNT and INMETRO standards. Immediate delivery becomes a trademark.

The Acepex family founds IMC
From the accessory to the complete extinguisher: Indústria Metalúrgica Caieiras is born, an Acepex group company manufacturing fire extinguishers licensed to carry the conformity mark — using fully domestic raw material and components.

IPT tested, INMETRO registered
Products with quality certification, periodically tested at the Institute for Technological Research for performance and extinguishing capacity. Modern technology, Brazilian standards and respect for the consumer — as it has always been.
